PayFast is a payment method for online purchases that allows users to send and receive money online. PayFast offers a fast, safe and easy method of payment without disclosing your credit card or other financial information to the merchant.
How do I sign up for PayFast?

Who do I contact if I have a problem with my PayFast account?
Unfortunately, we are not in a position to provide support on PayFast account problems. We kindly ask you to contact PayFast customer service directly.
When will my payment be deducted from my PayFast account?
Payment will be deducted from your PayFast account immediately after checkout.
How do I know my payment transaction is secure?
Illumina Pty Ltd. uses 128 - bit SSL (secure sockets layer) encryption technology when processing your financial details. 128-bit SSL encryption is approximated to take at least one trillion years to break, and is the industry standard.
You can see the transaction is secure if you see a key lock at the bottom right of your web browser. We do not retain your credit card information after your order is complete. Rather, it is submitted directly to our banks. You can rest assured that with each purchase your credit card or bank account information will be secure.

Cards and Payment Options Accepted:
You are able to use any South African Visa and Mastercard credit cards and certain cheque cards. We also accept Instant EFT payments and Bitcoin options. We do not currently support Diner's Club and American Express cards.
Security on Payment Transactions:
Illumina Pty Ltd. uses the PayFast Online Portal for payments. PayFast use Extended Validation SSL with 256-bit encryption. Only two of the four major South African banks use this –the highest– level of encryption currently available. 3D Secure is in place for all credit card transactions. They use BIN/IIN validation to check for card-issuing bank locations and merchants can choose to enable/disable payments from certain countries. Payments and card details are automatically checked against large online databases of blacklisted details. For more details you can visit the Payfast website here.
Activating your Card for 3D Secure:
3D Secure is an extra layer of security in using your credit card for online transactions. Sellers are asked to enter their 3D Secure password or one time PIN –which they register with their bank– to authenticate that they are the actual cardholder.

I paid via Payfast EFT but haven't received my order confirmation?
Are you a Standard Bank customer? Standard Bank takes longer to process Instant EFT. To speed up the process, send your proof of payment to firstname.lastname@example.org or give PayFast a call on 0861 729 327.
Once PayFast have verified your payment with us, we will process your order.
What is Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is an innovative digital payment method, performed over a peer-to-peer network. We partnered with Luno (previously known as BitX) to allow our sellers to accept Bitcoin payments.
Buyers can purchase Bitcoin in a variety of ways (in almost any country in the world) and use it in a variety of ways: including online purchases using PayFast.
Buyers simply pay the Bitcoin amount (at the current rate of exchange) during checkout. Sellers will still receive South African rand, just like with all our other payment methods.
Neither PayFast nor the seller receives or stores any Bitcoin, so there aren’t any risks of security, volatility or exchange rate fluctuations.

I Have Two Separate Illumina Store Credits. How Can I Use Them In One Order?
If you have two separate Illumina store credits, please contact our Customer Care Team so that they can consolidate them into one voucher code for the sum of the amount of the two store credits.
Please note that we are not able to consolidate any sale coupons or vouchers with a store credit.

After a successful transaction you should see a success page. On top of that, all successful transactions will receive a confirmation email. We can double check if you might have misspelled your email address or find the reason why your order was not successful.
